On 14 January 2023, Beata Paškevica, leading researcher of the National Library of Latvia, delivered the lecture "Heavenly Joy of Reading. The Path of Books to the Houses of Herrnhutter Farmers in the Middle of the 18th Century" in the rectory of the Krimulda church.
The lecture was about the path of books to the houses of Herrnhutter farmers. It was the activity of the Herrnhutters that awakened interest in reading as a useful and inspiring activity among Latvians.
